The History Of Our Building - The Old CO-OP Supermarket
The history of our original old Art Deco Style buildings, now housing our Framing Business, we believe dates back around 100 years and used to be a Co-Operative supermarket, being a butchers bakers and deli store. Sometime after that it became an estate agency - The Oxford Estate Agency, then a commercial laundry and dry cleaners, then a secure sports gun and armoury store, which probably accounts for our armour plated doors in the workshop..!!....We would love to hear from anyone who has photographs, or any information relating to the building, or the area of Newhouse Road Oxford Square Little Marton, where the once Thomas Motors Main Ford Dealer, Midland Bank and Grand Oxford Cinema proudly stood across the road from us.
